We had the please of meeting the most famous Global Industry Analyst, Josh Bersin, at this year's HR Tech at Las Vegas. At this summit that gathers over 500 HR professionals and technology innovators every year, Josh Bersin explained how it is important now for companies to anticipate the issues that are driving the future of HR. This is the philosophy that new HR technical solutions such as PeopleSpheres are being developed.
Josh Bersin : “Our CEO's and our business leaders and you as HR people are going to be really struggling to find people, train people, engage people develop people and all of these tools that we’re buying to develop people, if they don't solve those problems they’re not going to be that relevant in this kind of economy.”
“Well I think we're a little bit of a victim of our own success. The economy has been growing for almost 10 years. We have all this new technology... mobile, video, AI, faster and faster computing networking. And venture capitalists are throwing a ton of money into the HR tech space to fund companies to deal with issues like AI and data-driven recruiting, wellbeing, virtual and real-time learning, 21st-century career management. New ways of doing rewards. New ways of doing goal management. Better feedback. All of these ideas -- these management ideas are fostering vendors with platforms. And so the HR functions are seeing dozens and dozens of startups now, all of which are doing really interesting things that they want to somehow take advantage of. And there is a little bit baffled as to what to do. Because they can't buy all of it, and they do need a core system of record underneath it all. And the core systems vendors can't build all this either so it's actually a very disruptive time."
